Ali was born and raised in New Amsterdam, Guyana. At an early age, Ali gained interest in Reggae music and the way of life for the West Indies culture. Ali accomplished one of his first goals as a dj on a sound system in New Amsterdam. After graduating high school in Guyana, Ali moved to the United States and resided in South Side Jamaica Queens, New York. Ali started writing lyrics to reggae instrumentals from the version side of the 45 records. He then started recording his own songs and saw potential as a Guyanese to make it in the music industry. In the summer of 2003 Ali developed his own production called Empire Soundz and started work on his first album.

The album was written, recorded and produced by Ali, with credits to Paul Shields from VP Records who mastered the final product. Ali’s first album entitled “New Style Dancehall” was released in the late 2004 with some tracks being air on the radio in France. This artist style of flow is very unique and different, he has been promoting his demo cd and bringing energy at live performances. With determination in mind, Ali started work on the second album. Again all songs was written and engineered by Ali. The cd was mastered by Jamplified Productions out of Jamaica. The second album entitled “Better than Before” was released in late 2006. With a competitive music industry and a lot of work still ahead, nothing is stopping this artist from striving for the best to achieve his dreams.
